The Brief
Media Four Creative Agency commissioned me to produce a series of commercial lifestyle images for London Stansted Airport, designed to showcase the food, drink and shopping experience available throughout the terminal.
The imagery was created for use across large-scale billboards and digital displays within the airport, requiring visuals that felt aspirational, welcoming and authentic, while still working effectively in high-traffic, fast-moving environments.
The Approach
The shoot took place across two full days, working in multiple locations throughout the airport’s retail and hospitality areas.
To create imagery that felt both polished and genuine, we worked with a combination of:

Professional hired models

Stansted Airport staff, styled and posed as passengers
This mix helped strike a balance between commercial appeal and realism, ensuring the images reflected the diversity and energy of the airport while remaining credible to regular travellers.
Careful planning and coordination were essential to work efficiently within a live airport environment, maintaining flexibility around passenger flow, lighting conditions and operational constraints.
The Photography
The focus was on capturing natural, lifestyle-led moments — people enjoying food, drinks and shopping as part of their journey through the airport.

All imagery was captured with large-format display and digital signage in mind, ensuring strong compositions, clear messaging and visual impact from a distance.
The Outcome
The final photographs were rolled out across billboards and digital screens throughout London Stansted Airport, forming part of a wider campaign promoting the airport’s retail and hospitality offering.
Used in situ, the imagery helped reinforce Stansted’s positioning as a destination in its own right — not just a place to travel through, but somewhere to enjoy time before departure.
